Video Game Theory

Video games are a very effective way to escape the world, and escape stress. There are many stress relievers out there, but not all of them actually work, people can use lots of different things to make a relief from stress.
There are stress balls that you can buy, but I don't think that they work. The concept behind the stress ball is to make your muscles contract over and over again, which is supposedly relaxing to the body. They say the relaxing of the muscles will relieve stress you have. It has been proven to work with certain people, and some people actually had stress relief after using it. It also has not worked with everyone, and I just look at it as a marketing gimmick.
Also, there is stress medicine, which is not only expensive but, is not necessary. It is supposed to make all the jumbled thoughts in your head disappear. It is supposed to make your day a lot calmer, or it says it will train you to handle stress better. Also it says it will help you focus on the present, and reducing negative emotions and thoughts. It says it can also help with lots of other things like asthma, depression and sleep problems.
Some people find yoga and martial arts to be good stress relievers. The main idea behind all these things is to relax your body by contracting muscles or stretching them.
Even tho all these things have been somewhat proven to work. There is another thing you can do that is not so soothing or really relaxing. It is a more intense way of handling stress.
There is nothing better than going home sitting down and going into war on a TV screen. Or maybe playing a sports game or Mario kart. Whatever your preference. It will relieve stress and you will be in your own little world while you play. Even screaming at the TV is very stress relieving, or even throwing your controller across the room because you died or missed the shot.
A professor at Texas University did a study that proved, people who play video games long-term are able to handle stress better than non-playing. Also, they are less depressed and less hostile. Also proves that no matter if you're playing a violent game and get angry, it has no correlation with aggressive behavior.
There are many ways to reduce stress but, there isn't a more effective and fun ways to relieve stress. The facts prove it, people who play video games are relieved of stress ,and are able to handle stressful situations better in the long run. It removes everything from your mind and is a little escape from the world.
